Question:
According to this knowledgebase document-->
in MapInfo Professional 7.0, an object in a map or layout window can be moved incrementally using the arrow keys on the keyboard. How can those same operations be performed in a Layout window using version 7.5 and higher?
Answer:
The control key must be held down while using the arrow keys to move a selected frame in a layout. If the Control Key, Shift Key and an Arrow Key are used at the same time, the selected object will move 10 pixels at a time instead of 1 pixel at a time.
New functionality has been added to the arrow keys to allow for panning of maps by simply hitting an arrow key and not having to use the grabber tool (button with the hand). This increases usability of tools such as drawing tools. Now, while using the polyline tool (or any drawing tool) for instance, the map can be panned using the arrow keys to go past the edge of the window without having to stop drawing or switch tools.
