Question:
What would cause the Table>Geocode option to be greyed out?

Answer:

If the geocode option is greyed out, make sure that:

1. At least two tables are open; the table to be geocoded and the table being used to geocode against.
2. The table being used to geocode against (search table) is mappable.
3. The table being used to geocode against (search table) has an indexed field.
