Summary:
Copy Map Window vs Copy.

Question:
On the Edit menu, sometimes Copy is listed and sometimes Copy Map Window is listed. What's the difference between the two options and why does one appear as opposed to the other?

Answer:
Copy allows selected text and/or graphic information to be copied and placed on the clipboard.

When is Copy active?
Copy is active when one of the following conditions exist:
- A Browser is active and at least one row is selected.
- A map is active, at least one object from the map is selected and the selected object is not in Reshape mode.
If no objects are selected the command changes to Copy Map Window and the entire Map window is copied to the clipboard.
- A graph is active.
- The MapBasic window is open with text selected.
- A Map window is on the clipboard (command name changes to Copy Map Window).

How is Copy accessed?
To access Copy:
Choose Edit>Copy.
Choose Edit>Copy Map Window.

What is the purpose of Copy Map Window?
Copy Map Window allows the selected map to be copied to a new window.

When is Copy Map Window active?
Copy Map Window is active when one of the following conditions exist:
- A map is active.

How is Copy Map Window accessed?
To access Copy Map Window:
Choose Edit>Copy Map Window.

Note: The DPI for copy map window is set in the System Settings Preferences Dialog Box.
This is accessed from Options>Preferences. Click on System Settings Preferences Dialog Box.
