Product: MapXtreme Java
Version: 2.x
Platform: All Win32 Platforms
Category: Errors
Summary:
HAHTsite v4.0 times out after installing it over a HAHTsite v3.1 installation.
Question:
After running HAHTsite version 3.1 that was included with MapXtreme for Windows NT evaluation software it was removed form the system. HAHTsite version 4.0 was downloaded (with MapXtreme for Java v2.01) and installed and now an evaluation expired splash screen is displayed asking to purchase HAHTsite IDE. The original installation had about 15 days left before it's expiration. Removing the software and re-installing it numerous times produced the same result. Even removing all references from the registry regarding "HAHT" was unsuccessful. What can be done to resolve this issue?
Answer:
To solve this problem first, download the following HAHTsite patch file ftp://ftp.haht.com/pub/support/patches/HS20B2tlk.zip.
Then, find the file TL32V20.DLL and rename it to TL32V20.OLD. It may be necessary to search the entire machine to locate this file.
Uncompress and install the file downloaded in the directory where the original file was found. Upon opening the IDE everything should be fine, and no expiration message will appear.
