Summary:
Dividing complex boundary into given number of equal areas.

Question:
Is it possible to divide a complex boundary such as California (multiple polygon region) into a given number of equal geographic areas. This would be similar to a re-districting like action based on equal geographic areas.

Answer:
There is currently no feature in MapInfo Professional to divide a boundary in this manner. One suggestion would be to superimpose a grid over the area where the grids are all equal sized. Then, split the region up in this manner equally by grid cell. The geographic areas underneath will not be equal, just the grids used to split the object will be equal in size.
