Question:
If using the redistricting feature in MapInfo Professional to load balance and thematically shade by districts, can the records belonging to a certain district be selected and/or exported for use elsewhere?
Answer:
When setting up a table to be redistricted, the instructions advise a column called district be created in the table. This column will be populated with the district the record was assigned to, allowing the ability to query by district name and then export or save, etc.:
Choose Query>Select to find all records that were assigned to the "North" district:
Run this query and then save the resultant query as a table via File>Save Copy As or export to another supported format via Table>Export.
