Summary:
Selecting one table through File>Open table opens two tables.
Question:
A large table (Table1) was opened in MapInfo and a query performed. The resultant query was saved as a table (Table2) and then all files were closed through File>Close All. When opening the saved table (Table2 from the query), both Table2 and Table1 open. Why?
Answer:
The query was saved using File>Save Query and not by File>Save Copy As. Therefore, when Table2 was opened, a query table was actually being opened which also opens the table the query was based on (Table 1).
