AnySite 9.x and using Envinsa for geocoding, etc. when using a Proxy Server
Question:
Many user's of AnySite utilize a Proxy Server to access the Internet.
How can these user's utilize Envinsa for geocoding, drivetimes, etc. within AnySite?
Answer:
In the installation folder (Anysite_US or Anysite_CA), you will find a WebService.ini file.
Open this file in Notepad and scroll to the bottom section marked "Network".
This is where you need to edit with the Proxy IP and the username/pw:
Before editing:
[Networking]
UseWebProxy=false
WebProxyAddress=111.111.111.111:80
WebProxyUsername=ProxyUser
WebProxyPassword=ProxyPass
after editing (fictional ip address and username/pw):
[Networking]
UseWebProxy=True
WebProxyAddress=121.131.141.151:80
WebProxyUsername=Led
WebProxyPassword=Zeppelin
Note: some user's may have to precede the WebProxyAddress field with "Http:\\"
Then save the ini file.
Then to test, you need to switch the geocoding method to Envinsa via Tools>edit application ini in the Configurator
and then launch AnySite and test by entering an Address in the Find a Site dialog.
