AnySite 9.0 US November 2011 Patch
Question:
What does this patch fix, where can one get it and how is it applied?
Answer:
AnySite 2011 Fix (Note: the Layer Wizard fix referenced below will also resolve a similar AS 2012 CAN error)
The PBBI AnySite product team is pleased to announce the release of an AnySite US 9.0 update for your 2011 Groundview data. This release does not introduce new features but fixes bugs reported in the current version. The following bugs have been fixed with this release:
Boundary Files - Several boundary files were shipped without the state abbreviation in the Place column of the boundary TAB file. The boundaries affected are Places (PL), County (CO), and Minor Civil Divisions (MC).
Demographic Data - There were four variables in the Estimate and Projection data bundle that have an invalid year range in the description. The data and variable name are valid. The descriptions are also valid on the reports and will only be found if adding the variable to a new report.
The variable descriptions affected are (as listed in the 2011 release of AnySite US):
% Population Change 2000-2010
% Population Change 2010-2015
% Households Change 2000-2010
% Households Change 2010-2015
The variable descriptions should be:
% Population Change 2000-2011
% Population Change 2011-2016
% Households Change 2000-2011
% Households Change 2011-2016
Layer Wizard - There is an issue with the font size in the Layer Wizard that causes the font size to not be accepted by MapInfo Professional when a workspace is exported to be used in MI Pro.
Cross Reference - Several of the tables contained in the MI_US_XREF.CED database were shipped with commas or missing state abbreviations. This would have been noticed in the AnySite Data Manager upon exporting data. If a comma is present in the CED database, the Data Manager will not display anything after the comma. If the state abbreviation is not present, duplicate names (i.e. Clay County, FL and Clay County, GA) will not be exported.
Fix Release: To fix these issues, a zip file is being released that will contain the necessary files that need to be either replaced or updated.
Boundary Files – contains boundary files for Places (PL), County (CO), and Minor Civil Divisions (MC).
Demographic Data – contains the MapInfo Estimates (MIEST) bundle data and .asg files.
Layer Wizard – contains the layerwizard.dll file.
Cross Reference – contains the MI_US_XREFS.CED file.
